  To access sermon online click read more I hope you are well. As you know, last Sunday we had our annual meeting (APCM/AGM), where a new PCC was voted in. If you are on the Electoral Roll, I will send you a list of all the members in the next couple of weeks, but we have said thank you and goodbye (for now!) to Graham Whittaker, Johnny Read and Rob Williams and hello to Chris Cookson, Paul Chalkey and Thea Cave. Paul has also become Church Warden and Thea is our Deanery Synod rep. Debbie and Sheila have also stepped down as wardens. Thank you to everyone who attended. This week, we are celebrating Bible Sunday, so the Bible readings link with that. If you are joining us at St Cleopas, please bring a Bible.   Hello, We're over halfway through October, I'm not sure how that has happened! I hope you are coping with all the confusion and uncertainty over what it means to live in a three-tier system - I saw something the other day that said "I always knew 2020 would end in tiers!" As you know, our morning service is at Gabbie's this Sunday (18th) at 10.30am. After that, starting at around midday, is our AGM. You are welcome to come, but can only vote and contribute if you are on the Electoral Roll. If you would like to be there but can't make it, there is a Zoom link . Sunday 18th October 2020 - 10.30am Service at St Gabriel's followed by APCM at 1200 noon.

This Sunday immediately after the service we will be holding our parish's APCM (Annual Parochial Church Meeting) Everyone is welcome to stay but only those on the electoral role will be eligible to vote on such things as election to the PCC, choosing of Wardens, election to the deanery synod and such like. The following is an extract from the Church of England website regarding what needs to happen at an APCM ( https://www.churchofengland.org/more/policy-and-thinking/church-representation-rules/part-ii ) 9.    (1)  The annual meeting shall receive from the parochial church council and shall be free to discuss - (a)  a report on changes in the roll since the last annual parochial church meeting or, in a year in which a new roll is prepared, a report on the numbers entered on the new roll; (b)  an annual report on the proceedings of the parochial church council and the activities of the parish generally; (c)  the financial statements of the parochial church council for the year endin
