Christmas is coming - the first Sunday in advent is 3rd December. A preliminary timetable at St Gabriels includes Sun 3rd Dec - putting up the Christmas tree. Sun 10th Dec - decorating the Christmas tree. Sun 17th Dec - Messy Church - 4.30pm Sun 24th Dec -  Special  Christmas Eve service at 1000am - more details to follow. Monday 25th Dec - Christmas day service 1000am We are also looking at our usual Carols by Candlelight Service - date and time to be advised and  we are looking at the highly likely possibility that we will be holding our usual Midnight service on Christmas Eve. Baptismal Service for Chris and Jack Cookson. This coming Sunday the 10 th September we will be at St. Philemon’s church, Admiral Street, L8, @ 2.00PM There will be no Service at St. Gabriel’s that Sunday.  However there will be a service at St Cleopas at 1000am for those unable to make the afternoon service. The 1000am service will include Holy Communion. There will be no children’s provision at the 1000am.

90 Days of Prayer – SEPTEMBER through NOVEMBER During the coming months we are emphasising the importance of prayer by joining in prayer in households and at the church for 90 days starting September 1 st . Each prayer session will last 30 – 45 mins with a small group at each. Concentrating on praying for each other, our neighbourhood and our mission, especially 2018. We are believing for God to move in our area and God is moved by prayer. 2 Chronicles 7:14-15New International Version (NIV) 14  if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  15  Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
